Look Who's Back...Again....

Obviously, I need help keeping this blog going. I even ran a second blog for a while. Whatever.

Between being busy at work and busy else where's there's not been time for much else. I would like to post, though, about my new Etsy shop and blog banner (see cute image above).

As an Etsy seller I completely understand how difficult creating a shop banner can be, especially when you have no graphic design skills or knowledge. It's also tough to articulate your thoughts to someone else to build it for you so I'm sharing with you how I did mine.

First off I did it from my phone. Yup. No computer necessary. Secondly, it took 2 separate apps to do it. Why limit to just one and end up with something meh?

The first app I used was RhonnaDesigns available in the Apple App Store. It's a free download with in app purchases. That being said, it's unlikely you'll actually need to purchase anything. There's tons of fonts and absolutely awesome clip art.

Additionally, they have a lot of great backgrounds or you can even use your own photos.

Even better it allows you to adjust the colors ever so slightly, adjust sizes of any aspect you're adding and apply filters in varying degrees.

Your completed image can also be saved as high resolution.

Once I made what I wanted on RhonnaDesigsns I used Adobe Photoshop Express to crop my image to the correct specifications for an Etsy banner. This part went by trial and error as I did experience some issues with parts being cropped out once uploaded to Etsy.

I also use Photoshop Express for editing my product photos. I find the interface very easy to use and there's a lot of unique filters there as well.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the branding changes and would definitely recommend both apps.

Oh and one more thing. I'm on Instagram now as @stitchyimpressions
